Mossberg 500 and the Remington 870

The other day when I bought my Highpoint 995 carbine I was looking extremely close at a Mossberg and a  Remington side by side.  I tell you there seemed to be a lot of slop in the Mossbergs slide that I didn't like.  However it didn't seem to effect the operation of the gun.  I'm a Remington man and the biggest reason is the breakdown and ease of cleaning is what got me hooked on these guns.  Mossberg requires a little bit more work to break it down but it's not too bad.  I am not saying that the Mossberg is a bad gun because they have some pretty innovative products.  One well two that come in mind is the Persuader and the Road Block.  Now these two guns are must haves for me but I never seem to get around to getting one because something else catches my eye.  I would love to hear from someone that has fired one these because I want to know if it is any good.

  1. Mossberg just came out with a 500 chainsaw gun. The gun has a chain saw type grip for the pump. What were they thinking?
